About Us

The Black Dog Gastro pub was opened in March 2019 by two Brits and one proper Amsterdammer.  The bar which is named after one of the owners Romanian rescue dog Mollie - (who is extremely cute,  but a bit of a weirdo)  has been extremely popular with locals, expats and tourists from day one. 

After surviving the Corona lockdown  which shut us down one week before our first birthday, we are very proud to see the bar busy and more popular than ever.  Our awesome staff who give genuinely friendly service combined with our beautiful venue, great drinks selection, and international food menu, we hope makes for an all round lovely experience.
